At the moment I’m trying to do a distance learning course online. As a result I have ended up procrastinating A LOT and browsing internet shops for stuff which I can in no way afford. Nothing like lovely capitalism to distract you from things you should be doing. Now I am going to procrastinate even more by writing a whole post about the nice shiny objects I looked at and thought were…well…nice . These are a few of my favourite finds:

This ‘Bella’ dress is £52 from www.dollydagger.co.uk. It’s by Stop Staring, and it is reduced from £105. It’s quite a lot like one Marilyn Monroe wears in Niagra. Look:

I also really like this Ruby Slippers necklace from www.tattydevine.com, which came out to celebrate a production of The Wizard of Oz at London’s Royal Festival Hall. I actually bought it as a going-away present for a friend who is moving abroad next month, but it was hard to give away because I liked it a lot. They do make a really satisfying sound when they click together, and they arrived in lovely packaging with loads of little freebies like lollipops and stickers so I felt like a kid at Christmas when I unwrapped it. Except I then had to box it all back up and give it away, which hopefully doesn’t happen to kids at Christmas. It’s £25 by the way.

Why do I want a long dress with a picture of the Virgin Mary on it? I am an atheist and I look weird in clothes that come below the knee so I don’t know. But this long dress with a picture of the Virgin Mary on it really caught my eye on www.getcutie.co.uk, which incidentally ALWAYS has things I like on it. In fact I try not to go on it that much because it depresses me that I can’t own everything they sell. It’s £99.50 (sob). Also, I really like their sizing system that uses cup as well as standard dress sizes. Sorry the picture’s really small, I couldn’t find a bigger one.

Look at these fridge magnets! They’re shaped like Russian Dolls! Wouldn’t they look nice on a fridge? Hmm, I can’t really think of anything else to say about these, but I like them and they’re in the sale at www.plumo.com for £9:95 for a set of four.

Anyway, back to work. I will try and make my next post less whimsical and more informative.
